WATCH THIS SPOT FOR MORE INFOMATION ON ROADS IN ALAMO

THE ULTIMATE CONFIGURATION UPDATE
The Ultimate Configuration will be a discussion item on the agenda of the Tri-Valley Transportation Council (TVTC) at their next meeting on June 30, 2008 at 4 PM at Dougherty Station Community Center, 17011 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, 94582.

AIA opposes the Ultimate Configuration because it would expand the Interstate 680 gateway at Danville Boulevard and Stone Valley Roads and bring more freeway traffic onto Alamo roads. AIA is also concerned that having the Ultimate Configuration on the TVTC project list poses a special risk to Alamo because, if developer funds become available for a project on the list, the County must implement the project or risk losing its share of funds from the local half cents sales tax for transportation. The County would not forego the funds.

We recommend that Alamo citizens who have an opinion about the Ultimate Configuration make their opinion known to the members of the TVTC by attending the TVTC meeting on June 30.

The TVTC is made up of seven elected officials, one each from Contra Costa County, the town of Danville, the city of San Ramon, the County of Alameda, and the cities of Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore. The group levies funds on developers and identifies projects to mitigate traffic impacts of new development.

Earlier this year the TVTC added the expansion of the intersection of Danville Boulevard and Stone Valley Road, aka the Ultimate Configuration, to their list of projects authorized for funding with the developers' fees they levy and disperse.

Alamoca.org Gets A Second New Look
Once again, our site will look a little different to you. We are working on providing you a site that educates you about the AIA and the projects that come across our blotter.

The previous design ran into some technical difficulties that this design addresses and fixes. It is only a small beginning to what we have planned to list here including agendas and various updates on our committees and what is currently happeing in Alamo. We will also do our best to add in some community information as well.
