The purpose of the AIA is to assure Alamo residents a voice in the process that governs our community. The AIA was founded in 1955 to preserve and foster the established character and quality of Alamo as a semi-rural, low-density, residential area.

Board of Directors |

The AIA Board of Directors is an elected group of volunteers. The Board functions through its officers and committees as an advisory group and liaison to the County to represent the interests of our community. |

Planning Committee |
| |
Review and submits comments and recommendations to the County on all proposals for new developments and all of the discretionary applications for Alamo. |

Transportation Committee |
| |
Monitors official activity concerning local traffic, street maintenance, road improvements projects and regional transportation issues. |

Environmental Committee |
| |
Works to preserve and enhance Alamo's environmental resources such as parks, creeks and open space. |

Zoning Violations Committee |
| |
Works with concerned local residents and County officials to enforce laws that protect the welfare, safety and appearance of the Alamo community. |
